Tom Meyer - Testimony

ShastaGreetings. My name is Tom Meyer and I am a 2006 graduate from Shasta Bible College and Graduate school having received my bachelor's degree in Bible and Theology. Just recently I graduated from Jerusalem University College and Graduate school in Jerusalem, Israel with a master's degree in the Historical Geography of Israel, and I plan on returning to the same school in Jerusalem to do a masters degree in the Modern Middle East.

Shasta Bible College and its faculty thoroughly equipped me, with unique one-on-one discipleship to serve Christ in my many ministries in Israel and America. Dr. Nicholas cultivated, developed and encouraged the use of my spiritual gifts which I am now using in Israel over my stay at SBC. Dr. Nicholas gave me weekly opportunities to speak Scripture I had memorized during the Sounds of Shasta programs, and Dr. Stone equipped me with the preaching classes, which have now resulted in me speaking Scripture weekly from memory and teaching Bible classes in Israel at two different congregations. Dr. Nicholas and the SBC evangelism courses also taught and encouraged me onward in regards to doing the work of an evangelist. Just recently I was involved in a major street evangelism campaign in Tel Aviv, Israel with Jews for Jesus, and the training I received at SBC certainly paid its dividends as we shared the gospel of Christ with the Jews. Pastor Gunn's classes on many subjects, but especially eschatology and hermeneutics have made me become a Berean, searching the Scriptures daily to see what things are so. Jerusalem is a very dark city spiritually speaking, with false prophets galore and every wind of doctrine, so having been taught how to rightly divide the Word of Truth, and firmly grounded by godly men has been absolutely vital to my spiritual life in this city. Because SBC helps and encourages its graduates to find a job or their niche in the body of Christ, I was introduced and joined a ministry called Wordsower. Wordsower was started by Jason Nightingale about 25 years ago and orally interprets complete books and chapters of the Word of God from memory in different churches weekly, and thereby supports hundreds of Christian orphans and widows in West Africa. My website is www.thescripturecannotbebroken.com . May God continue to bless and meet the financial needs of SBC as it thoroughly equips believers in Christ to serve him in these last days.
